Yvonne Howell

Yvonne Howell, a Naselle resident since 1968, died February 27, 2018 at Providence Hospital in Portland OR; she was 80. Mrs. Howell was born September 27, 1937 to Orville and Emma Standefer. She married Larry Howell in South Bend, Wash. in May of 1954. Yvonne was a country western singer with her sister Rose for a couple of years. Then she and her husband Larry moved to Naselle in 1968 where the two owned and operated the Naselle Café for five and a half years. She was Naselle Valley Grange master, also serving as an EMT in the Naselle area. She is survived by her husband Larry of Naselle, a brother Orville Standefer of Spring, TX, a sister Naomi Love of Twin Falls, Idaho and a son Dennis Howell of Naselle, as well as 3 daughters Debrah A. Engelson of Naselle, Denise Lewis of Happy Valley, OR and Julie M. Howell of Longview, WA. Yvonne is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
