William Elwood Rumbles, longtime Raymond resident, died Thursday, October 26, 2017 at his home in Raymond surrounded by his family; he was 82. He was born August 3, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan to Nelson S. and Catherine Rumbles. Bill was a graduate of Mason High School in 1953. He married Marilynn Amundsen May 23, 1969 in Bellevue, WA. After furthering his education and earning a bachelor’s degree in physics from Michigan State College they moved to settle in Willapa Harbor in 1972. After acquiring his degree William worked for Boeing, Powell & Seiler, and owned and operated Rumbles Accounting, PS. In his spare time, he enjoyed fly fishing, baseball, model airplanes, football, and studying his bible. Bill is survived by his wife Marilynn of the family home in Raymond, his brother Don (Carol) Rumbles, 6 sons Matt (Mindi), Ben, Noah (Kim) all of Raymond, Peter (Jenny) of Redmond, Paul (Sarah) of Coeur d\\'Alene, Idaho and Chris (Holly) of Cashmere. He is also survived by 5 daughters Debbie Rumbles of France, Teresa Rumbles of Olympia, Abi Oyetuga (Dayo) of Marina Del Rey, California, Ruth (Nick) Milton of Raymond and Roseanne (Jerry) Okeyo of South Bend. Bill was also blessed with 13 grandchildren, he will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Lebam Community Chapel. A private graveside service will follow for family. The family invites everyone to continue the celebration of Bill’s life at the church for a luncheon, as they will be returning following the private committal service.
