William Nussbaum

William “Bill†Nussbaum, a lifetime Raymond resident died Friday, February 26, 2016 at Providence St. Peters Hospital in Olympia. He was born October 19, 1934 in Raymond to Frank and Mary (Peffier) Nussbaum. Bill was a Willapa Valley High School graduate; he went on to work as a Millwright at Weyerhaeuser for 47 years. Bill married Donna Christian October 24, 1953 at the St. Lawrence Church in Raymond. She preceded him in death in 2005. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and driving through the woods scouting out wildlife; he also loved to watch hummingbirds. He was a member of the Willapa Harbor and Pe Ell Gun Clubs. He is survived by two daughters Kris (Randy) Carlson of Raymond and Karla (Gene) Broten of Aberdeen and Scottsdale, Arizona, a son John Nussbaum of Raymond; four grandchildren, Joshua Croswell, Krissy Carlson, Kevin Carlson and Brandy Carlson and four great grandchildren. Bill was also survived by a brother Don (Emma) Nussbaum and brother-in-law- Gerald (Mavis) Christian all of Raymond, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10th at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 pm Friday, March 11th at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church with inurnment to follow at the Fern Hill Cemetery in Menlo. A gathering will be held at St. Lawrence following committal service. Cremation arrangements are in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
