William A. Hamm, a Raymond resident, died Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Willapa Harbor Hospital in South Bend. He was 72. Willy was born July 1, 1946 in Telequah, Oklahoma to Burt Hamm and Dorothy Meyers. Willy raised in Portland, Oregon. After graduating from Reynolds High School in 1964 he enrolled in the United States Army serving in Germany and other countries until his honorable discharge in 1968. He worked for Western Electric for a couple years in the 1970â€™s also working for the City of Portland. He began flipping houses in the Vancouver area and owned Dukes Pub from 1987 until retirement in the early 1990â€™s. Willy moved to Raymond in 1993. He enjoyed vacations to Mexico and traveling the Oregon Coast. Willy also enjoyed his time spent boating and crab fishing. Willy is survived by a daughter Serenity Augusta Victoria Hamm of Vancouver, WA as well as two grandchildren, Zachary and Jayden Hamm. He was preceded in death by his brother Burt Lee Hamm, Jr. and his good friend Ken Hutchinson and care giver Ryan Johnson. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were in care of Stollerâ€™s Mortuary in Raymond.
