William Doran

William Kyle Doran, a Raymond resident, died at his Home on April 17, 2017 at the age of 52. He was born on September 30, 1964 in Tacoma, WA to Cheryl J. Brammer-Clason (Deceased) and William A Doran (Deceased). William worked as a correctional officer at McNeil Island corrections center for 11 years and 6 more at Stafford Creek corrections center. Before his time in corrections, William was Active Duty Army from 1982 to 1992, and again from 2008 to 2014 with the Active Duty Reserves. He became highly decorated, having received 20 awards during his service including a Bronze Star, an Army Commendation Medal, and a National Defense Service Medal with a Bronze Service Star. He was honorably discharged from the Army as a Sergeant First Class. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working, camping, making people laugh, and telling his badger story.
