William Broadbent

William Keith Broadbent

William was born April 23, 1960 in Salem Oregon to Jerry and Charlyne Broadbent. He passed on December 25, 2023, at his residence in Rochester Wash. with his wife Becky and his sister Angie by his side and his two dogs at the age of 63.

He graduated and grew up in Nevada. Will made his way to the Olympia Wash. area in the early 80's. He did some logging and other odd jobs, making his way to the Department of Natural Resources where he retired after 31 years in May of 2018.

He managed and maintained the motorpool for all the state employees. He took pride in his job and was an excellent employee. He loved his job and had great attendance.

One of Will's hobbies was playing softball for over 35 years. This was his happy place, being out on the field with his second family and meeting friends. His number was 27 whenever possible, the same as his dad's football number in high school. His other hobby was smoking meats. He made pepperoni, jerky, sausage, and pretty much anything you wanted made, he could do it. He was good at what he did, and he put his all into it. This was shared by many and will truly be missed.

Will had many talents. He was able to do or build almost anything that needed to be done at home or for others. Roofing to decks or anything that I asked of him.

Will was a good man with a big heart! He is preceded in death by his dad Jerry Broadbent, who passed December 1, 2023.

He is survived by his wifey Becky, sisters Angie and Cindy Broadbent, brother Mitchell (Sean) Broadbent, mom Charlyne, along with many cousins and aunts and uncles.

Will's Funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 12th at the Fern Hill Cemetery in Menlo, Wash, and a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00 P.M. in Centralia at the Oakview Grange.

My third times a charm, my handsome hubby will be missed terribly and loved forever.
