Virginia Mae Wallace 86 late of South Bend, died Friday the 6th day of May 2022. Born in Oak Park II, in the winter of 1935 just weeks before Christmas. Raised in the Greater Springfield Il. area until the age of 13 when they moved to Waldport Oregon in 1948. During her years in High School Virginia worked at her family owned restaurant in Waldport. Graduating from Waldport High School 1953. Months after Graduation in October she married Gerald Wallace, Gerald joined the Army and their adventures around the world began. Finally settling down in South Bend in the summer of 71. Survived by two sisters and one brother, Barbra Taggert, Dick Lenardson and Judy Tipin, and children Russell Wallace, Alan Wallace and Sandra Wallace Vazquez. Six grandchildren, six great grandchildren. Anybody that knew Virginia, knew she loved quilting and hardanger Embroidery. She was a member of the Pacific County Quilting Guild, Pacific County Fair, and many others. Volunteered for numerous organizations around Raymond and South Bend. The Seaport Museum was her favorite, helping around the museum and giving that tour that she gave that everybody wanted to have her narrate.
