Thomas Giacoma

August 9, 1953 — November 5, 2017

Thomas Leo Giacoma, a South Bend resident, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 5, 2017. He was born on August 9, 1953, in Corona California, to Dominick Giacoma and Carmella Giacoma. He served our country in the armed forces in both the U.S. Army and Navy. During his life, he worked as a plumber and was a member of the Pipe Trades District Council No. 36 Union. He was a candidate in the upcoming election for the City Council of South Bend. Tom had a fire for politics and was not afraid to show it. He had pride for his Italian heritage and was full of integrity. He held true to his beliefs and always fought for what is right. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved the outdoors, but first and foremost he was a father who loved his children. His first priority in life was his children whom he loved with all of his heart. He loved to make people laugh, especially in his speedo, and was always the life of any party he attended. He loved dancing to disco music while working around the house and never ceased to improve his property. He was a caring and generous Christian who enjoyed helping others in his family and community. He is survived by his children Olivia Giacoma, Albert Giacoma, and Abigail Giacoma; his mother Carmella Giacoma; his sisters Donna Giacoma and Marie Giacoma; his brothers Donald Giacoma and Bruce Peirano. He was a very unique individual and will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the American Legion in Raymond. Arrangements were in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond, WA. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Thomas Giacoma please visit our Sympathy Store.
