Terryl Lee Coty, 66, of Raymond, passed away Friday, August 11th, 2017 at her home in Raymond, Washington. She was born July 18, 1951 in Centralia, Washington, to Milton (Joe) and Wilma Jean Noyes. She married Clyde R. Coty on August 22. 1970. Terryl is survived by her husband Clyde and six children; Clyde S. Coty of Raymond, Ryan and Holly Coty of Tenino, Scott and Shannon Coty of Raymond, Paul Coty and Kacy of Lebam, Renelle and Stan Smith of Grand Mound, Aaron and Samantha Coty of Elma; eleven grandchildren with another one on the way; 2 great-grandchildren; her step-mother Pat Noyes (wife of Milton Noyes), her step-father Russ Homan (husband of Wilma Jean) and her half-brothers Greg Graham and Roger Graham. She is preceded in death by her father Milton Noyes and her mother Wilma Jean Homan. Terryl grew up and went to school in various small towns and logging communities in southwest Washington. She met Clyde R. Coty in junior high, and after ‘going steady’ for five years and a one year engagement, they were married August 22, 1970. After high school Terryl attended Grays Harbor College for one year earning high honors in library science before leaving school to work at Coast Oyster Company in South Bend, WA. In the following years, Terryl raised six children and was engaged in a variety of jobs in the Raymond area including; the South Bend Bakery, reporting for the Harbor Herald newspaper, Willapa Veterinary Clinic and later she retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant from the Alder House assisted living facility. Terryl enjoyed family get-togethers in her home, cooking for family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Throughout her life she was a devoted reader and collected books on a wide range of subjects. Having an active and inquisitive mind led her to join the historical Research Club at the Raymond Timberland Library. She also enjoyed sewing and became an avid quilter, joining the local quilters club. Above all else, Terryl delighted in traveling the scenic Washington coastline with her husband. Together they visited the coastal beaches to comb the shore for interesting shells and white stones, and to partake in the serenity the waves offered as they melted into the beach. The graveside funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 16th at the Fern Hill Cemetery in Menlo. A celebration of life has been scheduled to follow at the American Legion Hall in Raymond, WA.
