Susan Marie Broten, 70, of Aberdeen, Washington, passed away on October 30, 2026.

Born on January 13, 1956, in Aberdeen, Susan spent most of her life in the community she called home. She was a free spirit with a colorful personality, a quick sense of humor, and a way of doing things entirely her own. She enjoyed music, collecting things, finding treasures, spending time with those she loved, and embracing the curiosities of life. Never one to be ordinary, Susan brought boldness, personality, and spontaneity wherever she went.

She will be remembered for her spirited nature, her humor, strength, and the unique person that she was.

Susan is survived by her two children, Alison LeStourgeon and Anthony Broten; her three grandchildren, Kassandra Ooms, Balen Nwafor, and Kolie Broten; her three great-grandsons; her father, Robert Lowdermilk Sr., and her longtime partner, Joaquin Reyes. Susan is also survived by her two brothers, Gary Lowdermilk and Robert Lowdermilk Jr.; her sister, Linda Brookhouser, a large extended family, and friends that she considered family.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Alice Cox, and her brother, Jimmy Ray Kangas.

A celebration of Susan's life will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Log Pavilion in Aberdeen, Washington. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather, share stories, and remember Susan's life together.
