Steven Ray Nicpon, a Raymond resident died June 27, 2017 in Olympia; he was 66. He was born April 22, 1951 in San Bernardino, CA to Margaret (Adkins) and Walter Nicpon. Steve graduated from Raymond High School in 1969 and went on to graduate from Lassen College, in Susanville, CA where he studied to be a gunsmith. He also graduated from Rogue College in Grants Pass, OR where he studied Precision Machine Technology. He was employed by Weyerhaeuser in the Raymond truck shop. He married Billie Beatty from Bay Center 1978, she survives him at the family home. Steve is also survived by two daughters: Lisa (Patrick) Frost-Dugan of Everett, and Robbie Annette Nicpon, also of Everett; two foster sons: David (Michelle) Abbott, and Wylon (Kelli) Parker; two step granddaughters Kaitlyn and Alexis Dugan; four foster granddaughters, one foster grandson, and one foster great grandson; brother in law John Beatty of Nemah, cousin/sister Nancy (Adkins) Biando of Olympia, and cousin/brother James Adkins of Oxbow Road Raymond, and their children and grandchildren; honorary sister Evonne Watt and her children and grandchildren, and several Nicpon cousins and their children and grandchildren. Also surviving are four grand-dogs and a grand-cat, as well as way too many beloved friends to list. Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and several aunts and uncles including Frank and Jean Nicpon and Melvin and Sara Adkins, foster grandson Ryan Abbott, childhood best friend & cousin Tim Nicpon, and dear friends Don Jones and Bob Deatherage. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the 8th Street Park in Raymond. Cremation arrangements were in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
