Richard Eugene Zieroth, a longtime Raymond resident died Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Willapa Harbor Hospital in South Bend; he was 67. He was born October 17, 1946 in Shell Lake, Wisconsin to Irvin and Lillian (Thompson) Zieroth. Rick was a Willapa Valley High School graduate. He served a short time in the United State Army where he worked on airplanes. It sparked an interest and he continued his passion for planes after his discharge. Rick worked maintenance for the United State Postal Service including Montesano, Hoquiam, Aberdeen and Raymond offices. He enjoyed all things mechanical, including auto and motorcycles. Rick also spent time outdoors, fishing and shooting. Rick is survived by two sons; Aaron and Robert Zieroth, both of Seattle and Danny Danner, who was close enough to Rick to be considered a son. He is also survived by a daughter Taeya Pankow of Seattle and a grandson William; sisters Chris Krogness of Centralia and Jeannine Zieroth of Chehalis and a brother Robert Zieroth. Celebration of Rick’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Raymond Eagles. Arrangements are in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
