Richard Donald Tomaszewski was born in Brooklyn N.Y. on August 2, 1943. He came from a large family consisting of 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Richard was a welder by trade, mostly for the shipbuilding industry from the East Coast to the West Coast. He also worked in Southern California designing sidewalks and pouring concrete driveways. Although he had various jobs over the years, he was best known for his uncanny ability to work with wood. Whether it was creating a barn style shed, toy box, or pig and duck shaped flower boxes; he excelled in craftsmanship. Richard always loved photography, bike riding and healthy eating. He took pictures of everything; capturing his journeys through life. He seemed fascinated by aircrafts and homeopathic health. Richard is survived by 2 sons, 2 daughters, and 4 grandsons, all residing in California. Richard will be remembered for all the times of laughter, the camping trips, the fishing trips and will be missed by all whose lives he touched; no matter how great or small the impression.
