Our father, Ray Neal Brooks, passed away on April 20, 2015 at the age of 76 peacefully in his own home after a battle with lung cancer. He was born in Tisdale, Kansas on Nov. 29, 1938 to Paul and Data Brooks. He graduated from Winfield High School in 1956. He then joined the military and served three years in the 101st airborne before beginning his long career of 33 years working for the Greyhound Bus Company. Ray then started his own independent contractor business doing vinyl siding for 20 years before retiring. He lived most of his years in Sacramento, California before moving to Menlo in 2004. He enjoyed playing pool, horseshoes, and cribbage, but his love was for baseball. Dodgers were his team. No one enjoyed western movies as he did. John Wayne was the man. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, two brothers, and a sister. He is survived by his partner; Penny Rogers of Menlo, son; Fred (Karla) of Bearns, California, daughter; Paula (Doug) Bales of Lebam, daughter: Lisa Patterson of California, step-daughter: Sue Caprezt of Colorado, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters, and a brother. He will be missed by us all! At his request there was no service. At a later date we will celebrate his wonderful life. Cremation arrangements were in care of Stoller\\'s Mortuary in Raymond.
