Ralph Deskins

On July 31, 2021, Ralph Deskins, joined his mother, Susie, in heaven. Ralph was born in Welch, West Virginia on October 20, 1938. He had nine brothers and six sisters. He was married to the love of his life, Janice (Dawson) for 63 years. Together they raised five children; Marsha (Gid) Stigall of South Bend, Dwayne (Janna) Deskins of Olympia, David (Kathy) Deskins of Raymond, Marie (Dan) Guernsey of Raymond and Darin (Rachel) Deskins of Morton. They have 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Ralph was in the United States Army, worked in the coal mines of West Virginia and at the Weyerhaeuser shake mill in Raymond. He also worked many years cutting cedar with one of his best friends, Bob McLendon. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved his family and was very proud of his children. His legacy of helping those in need lives on in his children. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
