Ovail Adolphus Garrett Jr. died on March 24, 2015 at his home in Raymond. Gary was born to Ovail Sr. and LaTreva Garrett on December 27, 1937 Luxor, Arkansas. After graduating from South Gate California High School, he eventually moved to Washington in 1993 where they made their home in Raymond. Gary worked as a truck driver based in Aberdeen, Washington. He was a member of the Moose and Elks Lodges and served in the United States Air Force. During his free time he enjoyed playing computer games, Pinochle, and fishing. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Ovail Sr. and Latreva Garrett, his son Jeffery Garrett, and his sister Beth Livermore. He is survived by sons Jon Garrett of Lake Havasu, Arizona and Gary Garrett of Grants Pass, Oregon; daughters Michelle Touchstone of Orange County, California and Rebecca Watson of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; 3 sisters, Jean MacCumber of Lake Elainor, California, Charlette Brenes, and Cheri Braunstein, 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Gary also leaves behind special friends Benny and Teddy Eromo. Private memorial services will be held. Memorial donations in Gary’s name may be made to HAVA Heart at PO Box 243, Raymond, WA 98577. Cremation arrangements were in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
