Norma Briney

Norma Lee Briney, lifelong Pacific County resident, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 at the Willapa Harbor Care Center, she was 89. Norma was born to Ralph and Minnie (Frazier) Streets, on May 30, 1924 in South Bend, Washington. Norma graduated from Raymond High School in 1942. On September 14, 1942 she married Guy Aaron Briney. They were married for 60 years. Norma and Guy were among the founding group of The Willapa Harbor Players. They were very active with the local theater and were in many of the productions. In October of 2006 Norma married Albert Carman of Montesano. Norma is survived by her two daughters: Cristy (Gary) Johnson of South Bend, Michelle (Ted) Clearwater of Raymond; her two grandsons, K.C. (Kristeen) Johnson of Adna, Tony (Mechele) Johnson of Raymond, and seven great grandchildren, Lizzie, Mary, A.J., Sammy, Tahoma, Ferrill, and Maybelle Johnson. Her husbands, Guy and Albert, preceded her in death. A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the Fern Hill Cemetery.
