Michael T. Everitt, 66, long time Raymond resident died Tuesday February 23, in Grays Harbor County. He was born December 3, 1949 in South Bend to Edward and Betty (Swan) Everitt. He was raised in South Bend graduating from South Bend high school in 1968 then proceeded to Seattle University and The University of Washington with a PhD in 1982. Mr. Everett began his work career from 1982-1991 at Wenatchee Valley Clinic, 1991-1993 at Helena Laboratories Beaumont, Texas, from 1993-1997 he worked with Dr. Horst VonThiele , and from 1997-2014 for Diagnostic’s Inc. Kent WA as a consulting director . Mr. Everitt married his wife Lynn Fykerude Sept. 18, 1976 in Reno, NV. She survives him at the family home in South Bend. Mr. Everitt was a former member of the Exchange Club in Wenatchee; and most recently a member of the Willapa Harbor Lions, an Alder House board member and a lifetime member of the Raymond Elks of the WA Alumni Assoc. He was a huge fan of the Wizard of Oz books and once met L. Frank Baum’s grandson; he also enjoyed Sci-Fi movies and books. He was a season ticket holder for over 40 years to the Washington Huskies and attended the Rose Bowl. He had attended the Holiday and Alamo Bowls in the past. Mr. Everitt is survived by his wife Lynn, two daughters Aidan (Eric) Diaz of Vista, CA and Teresa (Joe) Ganzel of Menlo WA; two sons Kirk (Morgan) of Spokane WA and Jonathan of Willapa WA / Yakima WA. He is also survived by a brother E. Glenn (Helen) Everitt Jr. of Federal Way WA, a sister Melinda Everitt of Seattle WA and special friends and care giver Kim Bair, a special cousin Gloria Jouper and the staff of Harbors Home Health. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 2nd at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Raymond with burial services to follow at the Fern Hill Cemetery in Menlo.
