Larry E. Beatty, a longtime Raymond resident died Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the Willapa Harbor Hospital in South Bend; he was 79. Larry was born April 10, 1935 in Auburn, CA to Paul and Margaret (Nulph) Beatty. Graduating from Wallport High School in 1952 and enlisted in the Army in 1953; he was honorably discharged as Corporal in 1955. Larry worked for Weyerhaeuser as a timber faller for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. Larry is survived by his wife Linda Beatty of the family home in Raymond; three sons, Guy Kaplan of Toledo, Rod Kaplan of Raymond and Larry Beatty of Raymond; three daughters Dawn Beatty of Sacramento, Jody Thomasson of Missoula and Sherri Florek of Olympia. In Larry’s memory memorials may be made to the Raymond Ambulance Fund at 212 Commercial Street, Raymond, WA 98577 or the Disabled American Veterans at P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301. At his request no memorial services will be held at this time. Cremation arrangements were in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
