KARLIN L. TAYLOR (Kokanee Karl) February 11, 1959 â€"June 8, 2017 Karl Taylor beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son and friend passed away at home Thursday, June 8th in Tokeland, WA at the age of 58. Karl was born and raised in Vancouver, WA and attended Columbia River High School. He worked for The Red Lion Inn as a truck driver and Weyerhaeuser. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and was of the Lutheran Faith. He served in the US Navy and his interests were fishing, hunting, Nascar Races and playing pool. Many thanks go to his caregivers, friends and members at the Shoalwater Bay Indian Reservation in Tokeland, WA and Kathirine Horne who helped make his recent move to the reservation possible. Karl is survived by his mother Jeanette Hewitt (stepfather Ed) Vancouver WA, his son Jeremy (Erica), grandchildren Novaleigh, Lilianah, Liam and Rowan Medford, OR, daughter Kaylynn, grandchildren Molly Ann and Charity Kelso, WA, sister Julie Ahola (Merlin), Brush Prairie WA, uncle George Johnson (Vicki) Wins, Utah and many cousins and friends. Karl was preceded in death by his father Tom and grandson Kolbin. Service for family will be Sunday, June 25th, 3 P.M. at the Shoalwater Bay Indian Reservation, Tokeland, Washington. A service for friends in the Amboy, Yacolt and Vancouver area will be held during Territorial Days this Summer in Amboy.
