Karen Ann “Rose†Post, a Raymond resident, died peacefully April 25, 2016 at her home; she was 57. Rose was born April 17, 1959 in New Bedford, MA to Chauncey Geer and Jane Marte (Nee Koza). Rose’s family will remember her by her positive outlook on life, and the strength of her faith. She was active in her church and spoke highly of those who helped her strengthen her connection to God. Her life’s purpose was helping people. She was a CNA for many years, and had passionate connections with her patients. She would often refer to them as “living history†and enjoyed getting to know them and their unique experiences. She had a wonderful sense of humor and saw the silver lining in any situation. Even when things seemed at their darkest hour, she would reply “Well, it could be worse.†She had a free spirit and spent her life traversing the US. She had a passion for learning, loved spending time at the coast, and creating - she was an avid embroiderer, gardener, and loved making jewelry. Rose spent much of her free time in the garden with her American Eskimo, Lilly, and attending church groups with her “sisters.†She was influential in the lives of her grandchildren, Ruben, Levyne, and Annabelle and treasured her time with them. Rose is also survived by her parents, her brother Mark Geer, and her three children, Sarah Beth Sauer, Nathan Lee Post, and Kathryn Marie Post. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints in Raymond. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in New Bedford, Massachusetts with her immediate family. Cremation arrangements were in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
