John Ernest Antilla, a lifelong resident of Raymond, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle. John, age 65, was born September 5, 1954 to Ralph and Dorothy L. Antilla. John graduated from Raymond High School in 1973. Over the years he worked a variety of jobs, mostly construction related. John had a life long love of motorcycles. He enjoyed riding and working on them. He attended the Motorcycle Mechanic's Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. John loved nature and animals, and especially his dog Bernie. His hobbies included skiing, kayaking, bicycling, playing the drums, and carving. John was a kind man who made many friends over the years. John is survived by his mother Dorothy, sisters Senja Antilla and Liisa (Barry) Antilla Kellems, brother Chris (Brenda) Antilla, nephew Eric Antilla, niece Lindsey (Jason) Blakely, and two great nieces, Makenzie and Haylee Antilla. A celebration of life will be held at the Barge Restaurant in Raymond on Monday, December 9 at 1:00 pm.
