James Seiler

James Alan Seiler, 87, formerly of Raymond, Washington, passed away on May 18th, 2016 at Morton General Hospital in Morton. He was born April 17, 1929 in Minneapolis, MN. His parents were Frank J. Seiler and Marguerite C. (Bardill) Seiler. He graduated from High School and attended Ohio State University where he met the love of his life, Mary M. Lewis. They were married on September 2, 1950 in Tiffin, Ohio. They moved to Providence Rhode Island where he got his PHD in mathematics. In 1954 they moved to Seattle where he took a job working for the Boeing Company. He worked there until 1974 when they moved to Raymond, Washington so he could take a position at a local accounting firm. In 1991 he went to work for the CPA firm, Powell, Seiler and Co., PS and worked there until his retirement in 1999. He loved playing golf, spending time with his family, and also was deeply devoted to his faith in God. He gave his life to Jesus in his early 40’s and chose to live his faith until he passed away. He is survived by son, Martin Seiler (Carla) of Raymond, daughters Nichola Goodin (Fred), of South Bend, WA, Lyn Jackson (Bill) of Modesto CA, and Cynthia Bradshaw (Darrell) of Salkum, WA. He is survived by 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a brother Richard Seiler (Helen) of Seattle, WA, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Seiler his parents Frank & Marguerite Seiler, a brother Jerry Seiler, and grandchildren Freddie (Hatfield) Goodin and Corey Goodin. A graveside service will be held at the Fern Hill Cemetery on Wednesday, May 25th 2016 in Menlo WA, at 2pm. A church service will follow at the Crossroads Church at 707 Commercial St, Raymond, WA at 3pm. Donations can be made to the Willapa Harbor Helping Hands in lieu of flowers.
