Gregory A. Ginther, a lifetime Raymond resident died Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the American Lake VA Hospital, he was 65. Greg was born February 17, 1948 in Raymond to Ivan W. and Barbara J. (Cook) Ginther. He was a South Bend High School graduate. Greg served three years in the U.S. Army, including a year in Vietnam. After his discharge he was employed at many local businesses including Dilk’s Tire Service, Dennis Company and drove truck for Turner & Son Shell Oil Company. Greg and Beth Turner met at the Willapa Lanes Bowling Alley in 1972 and were married June 15, 1974 in Raymond. Beth survives him at the family home in Raymond. He was a most recently a member of the Raymond Baptist Church and the American Legion. Greg enjoyed all his time spent with his daughter and her miniature horses. He was also involved with Boy Scouts when his son Danny was younger. He took great pride and joy in his son Chris’s glassblowing creations. He was an amazing fisherman and loved to golf. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Beth; two sons, Chris and Danny Ginther of Raymond, a daughter Kari Ginther of Raymond; two brothers also survive him, Wayland Ginther of Cosmopolis and Bob Ginther of Ocean Shores. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 25th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Raymond Baptist Church.
