Elsie "Midge" Nelson

Elsie “Midge” Nelson, 84, a longtime Raymond resident died Sunday, November 12, 2023 at home surrounded by her children. She was born February 25, 1939 in Hoquiam, Washington to Elsie & Christian Peterson. 

Midge was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Willapa United Methodist Church, the Garden Club, and the Research Club.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert D Nelson and great grandson Robert J Chicon. She is survived by her son Robert Nelson, daughters: Laurinda Fomasi (Ray) and Katy Thibert (Gerry), grandchildren: Travis Nelson (Rachel), Aaron Nelson (Tara), Johnny Fomasi, Gina Ramey (TJ), Jason Chicon, and Robby Chicon. She is also survived by her great grandchildren: Trapper Nelson, Sydney Nelson, Elliot Nelson, Maverick Nelson, Jett Nelson, Troy Nelson, Addi Ramey, James Ramey, Josiah Chicon, Gabriel Chicon, and Elijah Chicon.

Graveside services will be held at the Fern Hill Cemetery in Menlo, Washington at 11:00am on Saturday, November 18, 2023. A celebration of life will be held at the Barge, 160 Laurel Ave, Raymond WA following the service.
