Dennis G. Howard, 59, of Menlo, WA was found deceased in his home on September 12, 2017. He had recently been treated for skin cancer. Dennis was born July 14, 1958 in Kansas City, Missouri to Dennis M. and Regina A. (Carrigan) Howard. Dennis was employed in the field of computer software development with a call center helping clients that included the Cattle Growers Association. Dennis is survived by his daughter Anatola K. Howard; his mother Regina Carrigan Howard; his father Dennis M. Howard, and stepmother Anne Howard, three sisters; Maura (Paul) Hein, Regina Wilckens and Margaret Howard; two half-brothers Stephen (Nissa) Howard, and Thomas (Stefanie) Howard, and half-sister Elizabeth Howard (Aaron Mattheis); nieces, nephews and grand-nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Eva Monaghan and his brother George Howard. He graduated from Rockhurst High School and the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and he also took flying lessons and computer courses. Dennis was an Eagle Scout and he had a lifelong interest in nature. He enjoyed traveling and hiking with his daughter. Before moving to Menlo several years ago, Dennis lived in Kansas City, MO; Fairlawn, NJ, Portland, OR and Seattle, WA. A memorial will be held for Dennis in his hometown of Kansas City, MO. Friends and family are encouraged to make charitable contributions in his memory to Greenpeace, the Sierra Club, Smile Train, or the American Cancer Society. Cremation arrangements are in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
