Craig Sexton

Craig Sexton, 54, passed away far too soon, leaving behind family and friends who will remember his kind heart, loving soul, easygoing personality, and the many chapters of his life that were not always easy, but a life that was uniquely his. 

Craig was born December 3, 1971, and grew up in the East Raymond neighborhood surrounded by many childhood friends, creating countless memories and friendships. He graduated from Willapa Valley High School in 1990 and went on to attend Millwaukee School of Engineering. During his college years, Craig spent his summers working on the DNR firefighting crew. He later built a long career in the masonry trade, working for Keystone Masonry for over 20 years. 

Craig was a people person through and through. He had a natural gift for conversation and could talk for hours with just about anyone. His welcoming smile, warm demeanor and ability to make everyone feel like a friend have left a lasting impression on all who knew him. 

Craig enjoyed watching sports, sharing laughs over bingo with his Elma friends, and playing golf before his health limited his physical abilities. But above all, he loved his three children with all his heart. Kaylee, Dylan and Devin were the greatest joys of his life, and he was so incredibly proud of each of them. 

Craig was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Smith and his father Richard Sexton. He is survived by Kaylee, Dylan and Devin; his stepmom Alta Sexton and his stepdad Buck Smith; his siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 19, at noon at the Lebam Community Church, with a reception to follow. Family and friends are invited to come together to remember Craig, share stories, and celebrate the life of a man who touched so many.
