Conard Mack Johnson, 87, passed away at his home on May 7, 2026.
Conard was born Nov 22,1938 to Lula (Bailey) & Mack Johnson in Oceana, West Virginia. The
7th of 11 children.
In 1962 he tagged along with a friend who was coming to Raymond from West Virginia to visit
family. He met Naomi Church and within months they were married in Raymond on Nov 3rd of that year.
In 1967 they moved to Lake Quinault with their daughters, Barb & Pam, where they lived until 1970 before
moving to Aberdeen and then Hoquiam.
Conard worked at Weyerhaeuser in Raymond and in various shake mills on the harbor.
When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing and tending to his vegetable & flower gardens. He could also
be seen along 101 North picking up cans to recycle, in order to donate the proceeds to St Jude Children’s
Hospital.
Conard was preceded in death by 9 of his siblings; James, Mildred, Wayvle, Darrell, Virginia, Nar,
Ginevie, Franky & Patricia. His wife Naomi passed away in 2003, followed by his oldest daughter Barb
Mills in 2017.
He is survived by his daughter Pam Johnson of Aberdeen and brother Doyle Johnson of Oceana,
West Virginia. Several Nieces & Nephews. Grand-Daughters Gina Elders and Lahnie Boyle.
Great-Grandchildren Anthony Elders and Brenna & McKenna Hansen and Shawn “Mikey”, Cameron,
Nicholas & Shaleah Sinnett. Great-Great-Grandchildren Dean, Amara, Sirus and Greyson.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday May 19th at 2:00 at Fern Hill Cemetery in Menlo, WA
(100 South Fork Rd). With reception to follow at Crossroads Church in Raymond, WA (707 Commercial
St).
Bayview Funeral Home in Raymond, WA (315 5th St) will be handling the arrangements.
