Clara Louise Aurdahl-Ramsdell

Clara Louise (Aurdahl) Ramsdell passed away at her home in Wishkah Valley, Thursday, March 6, 2025.

She was born June 26, 1945, in Aberdeen, to Ole and Marie Aurdahl. She graduated from Weatherwax High School, class of 1963. Not long after high school, she married James Dineen with whom she had a son, Greg (M’Chele) Dineen, and a daughter, Ann (Steve) Szolas.

In 1978 she married Michael Ramsdell. They were inseparable, built a home, raised their family, and went on many adventures together, including going to see her relatives in Norway. Following her kids graduating from school, Clara returned to school and graduated from Grays Harbor College with an RN degree. She worked for Willapa Hospital Community Hospital, and the Taholah School District as the school nurse until her retirement in 2007.

Clara was very adventuresome with hobbies including recreational and competitive horseback trail riding with her daughter, and SCUBA diving/spear fishing with her husband Mike. She was also an amazing cook, enjoyed canning, and beekeeping, continuing the legacy of her mother and passing it on to her daughter. Clara also loved watching her son play basketball and football for Weatherwax High School and later watching him play basketball for Grays Harbor College.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Mike, at their home in Wishakah Valley, brother Glen (Betty) Aurdahl, sister Dona Aurdahl, her son and daughter, and grandson, Mason Dineen.

A private ceremony will be held in Francis, Washington at a date to be determined.
