Robert â€œShortyâ€ Remington, a lifetime South Bend resident, died Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Raymond Care Center; he was 95. Robert was born in South Bend, to William and Katherine (Oâ€™Shaughnessy) Remington on June 16, 1922. Prior to his retirement, 40 years ago, he was employed as supervisor of the line crew at the local PUD. He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, a life member of the NRA and a life member of the Eagles Lodge. He was an avid fisherman. In 1991 he was preceded in death by his wife Pat. He is survived by 2 daughters, Ann Rundberg of Bonney Lake and Lyn Klein of South Bend; 2 sons, Pete of Republic and Mike of Selah; 1 brother, Albert of Burien; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, Feb 3rd at the St. Lawrence Church in Raymond. Burial will follow at the Menlo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Lawrence Catholic Church Building Fund at P.O. box 31, Raymond, WA 98577.
